My Review - Under the Summer Sky by Lori Copeland

Under the Summer Sky
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

UNDER THE SUMMER SKY by Lori Copeland, is pure Copeland.  Sweet and endearing.

Trinity Franklin and Jones meet under the most bazaar of circumstances.  For what appears to be no apparent reason, Jones puts Trinity in a barrel and she ends up going over the rapids.  Afraid of tight places and water, Jones is one person she never wants to see again.  But, as their paths continue to cross Trinity sees a different side to Jones.

Jones was only protecting Trinity from the thugs that would’ve done worst to her then send her over the rapids.  But that’s where his interest in her ends.  Until he finds out she owns property the railroad wants to grab.  He makes her a deal only to find out she doesn’t hold the deed to the land.  He offers to help her find it, but only if it can be done within the deadline.  Other than her beauty, Jones doesn’t see in Trinity the things he’s looking for in a wife.  But his feelings change when he see her persistence and her grit.

UNDER THE SUMMER SKY was a sweet read.  Trinity was a sweet character and Jones was charming.  The secondary characters added warmth to a delightful story.  I still feel as if the barrel incident was a little farfetched, but I just chalk that up for the fun in fiction.
