Full Disclosure Well Received at ICRS

Full Disclosure was well received at ICRS (International Christian Retailers Show) formally known as CBA. The show was held in Denver, July 9-13th, and was a great experience for a novice author. It was great fun to meet some of my favorite authors like: Karen Kingsbury, Francine Rivers, Brandilyn Collins, Mindy Starns Clark, and more. Full Disclosure will now be released into the general market while I anxiously await the outcome.
If you have come across this blog and would like more information about Full Disclosure, please go to my website where you can read the first chapter, find out a little bit more about me, and of course order your own copy.

Promoting and Time Management

I am anxiously awaiting the release of Full Disclosure. Though the book has been available to readers through my website, I am sitting in anticipation to see how it will be received in the national market.

Being as this is my first book, I am just beginning to realize how overwhelming and time consuming it can be to promote a book. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled to have gotten this opportunity, but at the same time it has been challenging to find enough hours in the day to maintain a full-time job, a home, a family, steal moments of time to continue writing, and promote all in the same 24 hour period.

As I skip and stumble through the internet, I am finding out there are websites, blog sites, groups, organizations, associations, etc. that advertise or connect fiction writers together. I find myself going from one link to another, reading articles and posts, comments and reviews, absorbing the help and learning from the articles. I want to sign-up for every one of them, only to find out that if I continue to surf, I will fall farther behind in my responsibilities.

Does anyone else fall into this trap?

Full Disclosure

A quiet beachfront town.
An attempted hit.
A shaky romance.
An unexpected twist.
From the moment you open Full Disclosure, you’ll be drawn into the page-turning action that unfolds as Ciara and Jack are thrown together by a hit man’s bullet. Was the target meant to be the successful artist that Ciara grew up with, or the mysterious recluse who lives in a sprawling mansion down the beach?
You’ll be swept into the action, intrigue, and romance that unfold in this quiet, beachfront community. The threat of permanent blindness for the artist and Ciara’s lack of trust, which threatens to keep her locked within a wall of protection, cause them to seek God’s direction in a more meaningful way that they ever had before. They knew God could meet their needs, but how?
