My Review - Vanished by Irene Hannon

Vanished
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All I can say is WOW!  Another amazing book from Irene Hannon!

Moira Harrison is driving through an incredible thunderstorm when someone steps out in front of her car.  She swerves to avoid the woman in her headlights, but when there is a thump against the side of her car, she knows she was unsuccessful.  When a Good Samaritan happens by and assures her he will go for help, she feels only a moment’s peace before her world turns to black.  When she awakes, there is no help, no man, and no injured body on the road.  When help finally arrives, her story doesn’t add up.  With everyone questioning her story, she tries to convince herself she was wrong about the victim.  But, she can’t get the terror-filled eyes from the woman in her headlights out of her head.  Moira decides to employ ex-detective Cal Burke to investigate her accident and give her some piece of mind.

Cal Burke wants to believe Moira, but the evidence doesn’t add up.  With nothing to substantiate her claims, he doesn’t have much to go on.  But when he finds an obscure piece of evidence, his thinking changes.  The more he gets to know Moira, the more he wants to help her for both professional and personal reasons alike.

VANISHED is gripping!  A booked I finished in less than eight hours, along with the rest of Irene Hannon’s catalog of books is on my favorites list.  Hannon’s smooth style and penchant for suspense makes for a captivating story filled with well fleshed-out characters and anticipation that mounts page after page.  I can’t wait for PRIVATE JUSTICE to be released Fall 2013.
