My Review - A Billion Reasons Why

A BILLION REASONS WHY was a pleasant surprise. I received the book to review and was a little skeptical. I usually don’t like books that I would classify as “quirky”, but I am finding more and more that I need to broaden my horizons to something beyond suspense and intrigue.

A soon-to-be engaged, Katie McKenna, thinks she has her life all figured out. Though she would classify her soon-to-be fiancé, Dexter, as a safe choice for her future, she is okay with that and willing to settle for the security he wants to offer. That is, until her world is turned upside down when Luc DeForges, the love of her life, waltzes back into the picture. She tries to convince herself she is over Luc and their relationship is history, but Luc is bound and determined to prove to her they were meant to be together.

When Luc hears of Katie’s impending proposal, he realizes he has only days to convince Katie he is the man for her. He persuades her to sing at his brother’s wedding, and thus come home to her hometown of New Orleans. Once she’s there, he has no intentions of letting her go.

I really enjoyed A BILLION REASONS WHY. It was light-hearted, but not light weight. Luc is the perfect hero, and Katie is a confused, but sweet heroine. It is obvious they are meant for each other and getting to that conclusion was fun and enjoyable.

Book provided for review purposes.
