My Review - Where Two Hearts Meet

4 out of 5 stars

WHERE TWO HEARTS MEET was an easy read, with warm characters and multiple plots.

Chef Caden Holt is in her element at the Red Door Inn. She’s always felt a bit insecure, but in her kitchen, she shines. Not only does she whip up scrumptious dishes for the Prince Edward Island B & B, but she also teaches high-school students the joys of cooking. But when her boss asks her to show a travel writer around the island—hoping for a good review—Caden’s insecurities kick into overtime. Adam Jacobs is an extremely handsome man, and though she enjoys his company, Caden knows he is way out of her league.

Writer Adam Jacobs is on a forced sabbatical. Though he’s expected to uncover a story while on his break, he’d rather enjoy the beauty of Prince Edward Island and a certain chef who makes the most amazing dishes. Dealing with ghosts from his past, Adam is determined to do something to honor a fallen friend. Unfortunately, the story he’s expected to write could destroy the reputation of the owner of the Red Door Inn, and leave Caden without a job.

WHERE TWO HEARTS MEET takes off where THE RED DOOR INN leaves off. At first, I was concerned that the author was making the characters I enjoyed from the first book a bit unlikable. Luckily, that didn’t continue. Though Marie and Seth have a presence in this story, Caden and Adam are from and center. Secondary characters like Levi and Esther, Aretha and Jack, added charm to an already charming story. I look forward to the third book in the series, so I can once again escape to the beautiful hamlet of North Rustico.
