SECRETS OF THE HEART is a compelling story, with unique plot twists.
Lady Madeline is sure she will never get over her father’s death. Even though her prescribed time of mourning is over, she can’t seem to break out of her melancholy. Her world is distorted even more when her mother decides to marry Lord Vale, a man Madeline is sure has ulterior motives. When a riding accident has Madeline come face-to-face with the Earl of Ravensmoore–the man she holds responsible for her father’s death–her anger is renewed once more.
Devlin Ravensmoore is taken with the beautiful and feisty Lady Madeline. Of course, his interest in her is thwarted by Madeline because she cannot reconcile having interest in the man responsible for her pain.
When Lady Madeline and Devlin Ravensmoore’s worlds continue to intersect, Madeline feels her heart changing for the man that always seems to be there when she needs him most. Together, Madeline and Devlin find out secrets from both the past and the present. Secrets that will surely changed the worlds forever.
I enjoyed SECRETS OF THE HEART. Even though the Regency era is not my usual time period of choice, the unique subplots keep my interest. Many twists and turns had me turning pages when I told myself I needed to do other things. A good book for sure. I will keep an eye out for the second book in The Ravensmoore Chronicles.
