BIG SKY BACHELOR is a sweet story with very likable
characters.
Janessa Greene can’t wait to leave Thornton Springs. She aspires to be a chef, and as soon as she
gets her acceptance letter to Le Cordon Bleu in Seattle, she is outer
there. Or so she thinks. When Micah Brody shows up on her family ranch
as a new hand, she can’t help but be irritated by his need to dispense advice
on her horsemanship skills. She feels a
flicker of attraction but quickly squelches it.
Seattle is calling her name and she has no intentions of ignoring it.
Micah Brody is at a crossroads. He’s made his name and a healthy income on
the rodeo circuit. But after a serious
injury, he questions what he wants out of life.
Feeling he will never be good enough to garner his father’s approval and
tired of women only being interested in his celebrity status, he checks out of
rehab and ends up on a ranch in Thornton Springs. His intentions are to give himself some time
to think and get in touch with what he loves, the great outdoors and ranch
style living. What he wasn’t ready for
was locking horns with Janessa Greene.
But now that he has, he has every intention of changing her mind about
rodeo cowboys.
I enjoyed BIG SKY BACHELOR but wasn’t completely enthralled
with it. I guess its predictability made
it easy to put down and pick up at a later time. I loved Janessa’s spitfire attitude and Micah’s
suave cowboy charm. The secondary
characters added depth and some entertaining side notes. Overall, BIG SKY BACHELOR was simple reading
with an enjoyable outcome. I would
recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, light read.
