STARS COLLIDE is not what I would consider my normal book of choice. When I see descriptions like “quirks” and “fun-filled romp”, I usually pass. But, the premise for STARS COLLIDE caught my interest.
Kat Jennings and Scott Murphy are the stars of a television sitcom. As their onscreen romance is confirmed an off-screen romance is sparked. Trying to keep their feelings from others is no easy task, especially since Kat’s grandmother– a star from Hollywood’s golden age– suffers from Alzheimer’s and confuses an onscreen marriage proposal for the real thing. What ensues is an amusing story with comical characters and an original storyline.
Though I wouldn’t classify STARS COLLIDE as a favorite, it was still an entertaining read. At times, I thought the biblical influences were spoken more than necessary, interrupting the flow of the story. But overall, for someone who is looking for light reading STARS COLLIDE is sure to entertain.
