Being as this is my first book, I am just beginning to realize how overwhelming and time consuming it can be to promote a book. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled to have gotten this opportunity, but at the same time it has been challenging to find enough hours in the day to maintain a full-time job, a home, a family, steal moments of time to continue writing, and promote all in the same 24 hour period.
As I skip and stumble through the internet, I am finding out there are websites, blog sites, groups, organizations, associations, etc. that advertise or connect fiction writers together. I find myself going from one link to another, reading articles and posts, comments and reviews, absorbing the help and learning from the articles. I want to sign-up for every one of them, only to find out that if I continue to surf, I will fall farther behind in my responsibilities.
Does anyone else fall into this trap?
