HANDS OF DARKNESS is an edgy read with a heroine that is
anything but run of the mill.
Evelyn has survived the devastation of losing her young
daughter to a psychopathic murderer.
Solving the case brought her some sense of closure, but also got her disbarred. She now works as a consultant for the San
Diego Police Department. Evelyn’s ways
are far from conventional and she often speaks without a filter. But she has the uncanny ability of getting
information out of witnesses and criminals alike. When her current case turns personal, Evelyn
becomes even more obsessed with finding the man who is brutalizing and
murdering woman.
HANDS OF DARKNESS was a refreshing read, in a blunt, un-censored
sort of way. I like a book with grit,
and HANDS OF DARKNESS had plenty of that.
An aspiring author myself, I’m pleased to see Christian publishing
houses broadening their borders to include stories that haven’t been sanitized,
but still include characters who believe in the power of God.
